Measles is on the rise in our communities because childhood MMR immunisation rates are at an all-time low. But it's not just MMR - in some communities, there is now hesitation around all childhood immunisations.
Flourish, West Birmingham's community health collaborative, is working with GPs to reach out to local communities to find out what the concerns and worries people have about immunisations and whether changes to how immunisations are explained, offered or delivered can help to raise rates.
We know certain communities in Birmingham sometimes struggle to access healthcare, so your views and opinions are especially vital in helping us to tackle this important public health concern. We want to ensure that the needs and concerns of your community are taken seriously and acted on wherever possible.
